I have been inundated with responses from the FmXt and from other social sources on the absolutely mad piece of so called poetry that was put up last night. It was unintended, but words and thoughts simply flowed out in a stream of thought, and so there it is . It would not be proper to give explanation to the words or its ultimate effect - that would rob it of its originality. But, it is a trifle intriguing and I can understand the many that have expressed no knowledge, or ignorance towards it. Some day perhaps when the climate is more suitable and when there is desire to give an explanation to it, then shall I wish to put forth my process of thought when I wrote it. My gratitude till then for its acknowledgement !!

The event of the day - Brazil vs Portugal at the World Cup Soccer in South Africa, registered itself as a non event almost. There was more expected especially since both the teams have great value and followship. Brazil started off with great gusto and skill. The team moved in an orderly fashion, samba on the pitch, even though one could not hear the music because of the ‘VuVu’. But as someone suggested, confiscate the vuvuzela’s bring on the samba, and see what happens then !

I don’t think so. The VUVU has become a part of the `cup’. It would be an adverse decision, under many circumstances if they were to ban the instrument  - if it can be called that !!

Right now it has become the righteous tool for those that matter in the organization. A talent, a person who will feel intimidated and finally explode !! It is now developing political overtures, all in good humor of course. The range is pretty large and important - Bill Clinton to Madonna - or is it the other way round  ??

In all the noise and the drone of the ‘VuVu’ there is a factor that is being completely ignored. How have the games been going ? The fans the marketeers, publicity hounds and then some more, have been playing a continuous game on the side with all these lovelies of the written word tiking about. No matter what we  may have to say, the World Cup Soccer has been conducted with great generosity upon us. The spirit and the gaiety, the affection and the warmth extended to visitors from all over the world has been phenomenal. The South Africans have proved a very large point to the rest of the world and surprised all.

May this temperament grow and prosper. It is already being dubbed as the best World Cup ever. Our wishes and prayers for its complete success in the days to come …

Agastya is better in the mean while, and sends his gratitude to all those that show concern for him. Except, just this evening, someone stepped on his wound and it blew open again. But the tough lad took it well. Not a wince or tantrum. Went across to the doc and got it dressed. He is barely 8, but such a gentleman and such a ‘bhajj’ on computers and anything that spells ‘digital’, that you cannot merely ignore him. He tends to my Mac, my iPhone, my iPad and …

Never tires. What is this generation made of ..?? Their exposure to the latest gadgetry and their immediate understanding towards its operations, must be put in the right perspective. Stored, labelled and secured within closed walls and in open markets, this facility should be made available to all.

Perhaps some of the most glorious moments in life are the ones which concern children.
