The dearest FmXt had asked for a photograph of the book presented to me by the BigB Facebook Group and members of our extended family, done so elegantly by Kishore. Here it is above. I am afraid there is more of me in the photograph than the book, when it should have been the other way round. But hopefully I shall be able to take better pictures of the manuscript later and put it up for all to see. Thank you again for this marvelous effort made by all.

Last night Aamir and his wife Kiran came over for dinner. He had wanted to see ‘Paa’ for a long time. If you remember he came to the premier but did not stay for the film, so every time we met there after, he had been asking for it. When we had met in London recently we had fixed that when we get back we would have an evening together, so there it is.

He loved the film as did Kiran within seconds of its completion, which I must say knowing his temperament, is some sort of an achievement. But they were very moved, loved all the performances and had special words of praise for Abhishek and Vidya. In all it was a wonderful evening. I have wished to him that we must have more of these.

So … Paul had another victory last night. Predicted German win and win it did. Tonight for the final its Spain he has predicted and as the closing ceremony unfolds in front of us on the Tv, we all await anxiously to see what happens. The ceremony looks grand and colorful with Shakira just finishing her Waka Waka number. Incidentally Atul Kasbekar the still photographer on set today informs me that there is a joke prominently going around on the twitter world that Waka Waka in Marathi means .. bend over ! No further comment !

It was nostalgia driving down to Film City this morning for the promotional shoots for KBC. Gosh ! its been 10 years from the day KBC first started. Its been a long journey. So much has happened since. And now completing an entire circle to be back at the helm of this show again. Sony Television seems excited and ready for it and we are getting into its first phase today. Down the several weeks that follow, there shall be hopefully more things to talk about.

As the spectacle of the singers and dancers unfolds in front of us from South Africa World Cup 2010 showcasing happiness and joy and celebration, may I wish all those that visit this blog, my extended family, similar sentiment - happiness, joy, celebration all through your lives. May you all stay healthy and wise and together in love ..
