When the mind and body is well, all works well .. when the mind and body is indisposed, nothing works ! The joy of getting up after an extremely long time feeling as though the world could be conquered, stepping out in front of the cameras, the lights, the sun, the heat, the studio and the shooting crew … and then to return and discover, that there is indisposition … not in the body, but in the mind … well now that I see, bit of body too …

No ! It is not my conditioning, nor my recent medical escapades .. it is the insinuations, ugly commentary and remark among my own Ef .. they may seem innocuous and smart, or just plain rude, but remember that each such endeavor is like an arrow struck deep within my already ailing body .. I do hope you got that .. it is an arrow within my system !!

This home, this most loving platform, this family, was not built for reasons of insult, denigration and to offend another. Much effort and love has been gone into to get here. Each day has been religiously devoted to bringing that spirit, despite many odds, into us, into each other. Any disrespect to it shall reflect but just one attitude, a disrespect to me !

There are great many fresh thoughts that I work on each day on how we can jointly improve our valued connection. They are on the verge of completion and then soon after, its execution. It is of course another pioneering effort. I will go ahead with it despite all that transpires, but it would be a sad day if some of us were to be missing from it.

So back to stepping out for the shoot of an ad., film at Film City. The heat unrelenting, but jobs got to be done. As I drive down I notice how this region has filled itself up with high rises and markets and people. Time was when, the only inhabitant one saw was, yourself driving down barren roads, with not a hut in sight. Now .. even the FCity has developed into a massive shooting ground, with additional floors and sets of immense magnitude everywhere. And the memories of all the hugely enjoyable films that were shot here. Sharabi, Natwarlal, Kala Pathar, Satte pe Satta, NamakHaram, Shakti, Kasme Vaade, Shahenshah, Kaalia, Laawaris, Muquaddar ka Sikander, Shaan, Agni Path, Baghbaan, Black, Paa … not to forget of course … KBC .. right from its inception to the last season … and many more .. an endless history of the scenes and memorable moments associated with my film career …

So many people and contraptions and gadgetry, for a single person, to deliver just perhaps a single sentence ..

…. and monkeys in flight if you please, on location ..

Lucky we did not encounter leaping leopard ! Seriously ! Every other day a leopard strolls down by the sets, causing panic among all of us. Why just the other night, when Abhishek was shooting for Bol Bachchan, one such ‘cat’ had walked up to the main door of the studio floor, found it shut and decided to lie in the shade of the cars parked a few feet away … Panic ! Pack Up ! Home early !

There is a National Game Park right next to the Film City and in order to give complete freedom to the animals, has been kept free and without barriers. They are now walking into close by residential areas. Just day before one of them took a gentle walk into a residents drawing room. The ladies fainted in fright, and it took hundreds of men and material to capture the beast almost after 20 hours !!

Animal and cat lovers among our dear Ef, must be squealing with joy. But may I also say that they do attack humans and many get severely mauled .. humans I mean … until special forces arrive, shoot sedative darts into them, carry them off and set them free again into the Park ..

The victims though are the dogs ! They become their hapless meals !! Dog lovers, shedding grief emotions ??

Alright … enough morbidity .. get to bed .. and remember … no bickering … !!
