Dearest All,

Last night the lights went out in the bedroom at 3 AM and came on a few hours later by 5 AM. Out to sleep, on to awake ! With a couple of hours in the battery that runs in our systems it was a tough call to then drive another 2 hours to Lonavala to catch up with BB3. Now at past 10 PM its back on the highway to Mumbai and home after a grueling day. It was exciting to be able to chat with the contestants, to witness their goings on for the week and to be able to perform, what to me seemed the cruelest part of the program, the eviction.

A cake was in store for me by the end of the evening by the unit and the multitude of people that have been working so hard on this show. Touched by their gesture I thank them profusely for all the hard work they put in for the sake of one man and leave.

As I drive back many friends and family that have been watching the show comment about it. I am surprised that so many are indeed connected ; that BBoss is a part of their curriculum. But then such is the way with Reality TV. There is an attraction which defies reasoning. Many have expressed anguish and pain on the presence of such programs in the world of entertainment, and many quite the opposite. But I am just so taken in by the effort and management that goes into such shows and yet again salute them.

Tomorrow the team of ‘Rann’ wish to bring in the first look launch for the film at a theatre near by and cut a cake for my birth. It is the time of the year for cakes and their excesses and I shall be blowing candles a plenty. But stopping them would be a sacrilege and so one goes along. There is a line up of media interviews starting off from tomorrow morning. You do one you do a hundred. That is the norm and one goes along with it, though the excitement of birthdays and gifts has long since gone by.

I need to have a clear head in the morning and for this I need a clear 7 hr sleep. I indulge in that now and wish regret at not being with you in this post longer. But it has been a rather long day.
