DAY 647 Amitabh Bachchan Blog
I cannot remember it happening to me in recent times, nor in times
past - an audience applause in the middle of my film, at the end of a
scene or dialogue. But it happened tonight at the premier of RANN. A
thunderous and prolonged applause at the end of a scene that I perform
towards the end of the film, moved me to tears. And then when the
lights came on the excited acknowledgement from an entire multiplex (
not like the one in the Mall at Bangalore ), the emotions kept becoming
deeper and stronger…
The varied and different kind of cinema that we are all used to may perhaps never give occasion to a moment of genuine applause at the end of a given performance, but when it happens we accept it and allow the world to pass by. Perhaps it is not our culture or our ethics.
My head slouches down over the computer and sleep is taking such a vast toll on my being that I shall have to come back to you in some hours ..
