How glorious to have had greats like Raj Kapoor, Mehboob, Guru Dutt, Bimal Roy, KAsif and others talk about their craft and approach towards cinema. How enriching an experience it would have been to hear Dilip Kumar, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor and Motilal talk of their approach to acting. How enchanting to have heard a Meena Kumari, Nargis, Madhubala, Nutan, Waheeda Rehman talk about their experiences of the work they did and to provide for this cinema hungry nation invaluable material for the younger lot to see and appreciate.

Where do we have such institute or body of people that take this kind of interest. Where is there the thought or desire to do the job as efficiently as possible. We have nothing and nothing to show.

But the desire to do something in this direction has been initiated and I hope that in the days to come some fructification of these ideas take place. We owe this not just to the film fraternity, but to the nation as such. Someday someone will see reason about this. I shall be more than happy to lend support.

After bumping into all these glorious messages motivating us to do better, act better, be better I feel we should take it upon ourselves in a personal capacity to ensure that our creative best is restored and filed.

This has been the main thrust of our conversation over dinner with Aamir tonight and I feel we shall quitely be asking others to o-operate !!

The West has very little of its own but shows it so well you actually start believing them. We must aim higher in order to get rid of the plain and ordinary. .And we must start now !!
