We grieve at the ordeal that those that suffered have to bear and pray for the soul of this little 2 year old, innocent and unaware, on why this could have happened to him. Why indeed does this happen to anyone ? And why does it even occur to anyone that something like this should happen ? I have no answers. I have answers to its futility, but no answers to its execution. There will be strong statements, visits by prominents, news breakings, headlines in tomorrows press, a few security ridden procedures and then it shall end. In a couple of days time the headlines shall be with some corruption or related matter, compensation to those that suffered shall be sympathetically announced and life shall move on. Whether it mattered to the cause whatever it be, or not, shall never be known and quite frankly never even be cared for. The purposeless and wanton adventure of some polluted minds shall be overshadowed by more intense, and of the moment reports, and that is all. Those that shall escape the devastation shall thank their lucky stars and those that have a stake in the control and investigations of such, shall consider that they shall have to be lucky all the time. Thats a manufactured light hearted byte by our Home Minister. The original emanated from the IRA in England after a failed bombing attack on Margaret Thatcher when she was Prime Minister. A Hotel she was to stay in was bombed a little ahead of time or was after she left and the IRA that claimed the attack had remarked -

“Remember, we have to be lucky just once. You shall have to be lucky all the time ” !

A frightening thought !

But that has, unfortunately become the norm for today and in today’s times. Its a time for vigilance. Its the time for being aware of circumstances, words, actions and deeds. Who knows when where and how the other shall take your remark. And then … we, or least some of us shall have to pay ..!! And yes we shall have to be lucky all the time !

Some meetings today have churned up revelations that have been disturbing - professionally and in other ‘ally’. I am alarmed at their existence and operation. But this is the 21 st century and we are in 2010 and we are running in an air of suspended animation. An animation that has very little to offer in terms of standing on protocol and valued nature. This generation they say, has changed and their thinking and processing is a lot different from those that existed earlier. It is lamentable but … nothing can be done now. The largest population of this 1.2 billion population of India, percentage wise belongs to the age group of 35 and below. All that we are processing is being conducted with the level of this number - films, politics, consumer products, white goods, cars, communication the lot. All are being followed up with the thrust being on youth. The youth below 35, anxious to start, to evolve , to control …

Our cynical disadvantage has turned into our largest and most acceptable advantage. And there are not many all over the universe that cannot and are unable to see and gauge, what this means to a nation that has just begun to evolve economically. Conduct now is conducted through research. Their is a scientific and technical based review to any and every decision. And there are planned maneuvers that shall justify the act of allocation, or in todays prevalent vocabulary - out sourcing !!

I am happy that I am alive to see this revolution. I am sad that I am unable to contribute to it. I am happy that our conduct is cyber controlled. I am sad that greater access translates into greater fears and disillusionment’s. I am happy that I can be aware of this. I am sad that I can do nothing about it.

Be willed of strength and fortitude ye noble fraternity of the familia … for tomorrow there can be a possibility where your challenges shall be feared and your deeds questioned. But …. as you shall grow in spirit in mind and in numbers, so shall you be in position to dispel all evil and all that is wretched. So help me God !!
