DAY 874 Amitabh Bachchan Blog
So you wander aimlessly, look for something to be involved in, to pay attention to and nothing materializes. You wish to connect with the responses on the blog - an exercise that haunts you continuously. You want to answer to the tweets that now close in on 400,000, you punch in the code for the Bachchan Bol facility and wait for the recorded assistance to ’start recording now’, but you remain silent.
And then you wonder why this is happening to you. Or maybe not. You just wonder. Wonder not just because your state demands it, but wonder what it is that is causing you to wonder. I mean, inane thoughts such as these begin to occupy the mind. A few flashes of the ‘idle mind being the devils workshop’ adage whips past like the road dividers on a fast moving car on the highway. They are those white dashes that separate lanes, that tell you to be inside your own tunnel, that warn you to indicate if you will be changing the dashes of one to the other. But nothing works. The answers to the questions do not come forthright. Nor does the attraction to the twitter world compel you to write something. And neither does any of the sarcasm or abuse on social sites against you warm you up for a fight. Its lay back time. Not out of any design, but just …
So … you go back to back with movies and ‘Casino’ and ‘Goodfellas’ come up rapidly. The violence is horrid and merciless, but the enactment so true and real. The speech so natural and unrehearsed, but we know that the screenplay was written first. Is it all so casual and relaxed in its execution. Surely there must have been moments of discussion and design before the cameras started rolling. Whatever … the outcome was incredible. Language then is the key. If the language is known and understood, conveying thought idea and content is but a mere formality. That then is the strongest point in any form of cinematic art which involves performance. Know the language, and all else shall fall into place.
And here then is what a FmXt sent … very pertinent and deserving ~
A lecturer ,
when explaining stress management to an audience,
Raised a glass of water and asked,
“How heavy is this glass of water?”
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.
The lecturer replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a
problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance
In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
He continued,
“And that’s the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won’t be able to carry on.”
“As with the glass of water,
You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.
When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.”
“So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it home You can pick it up tomorrow.”
“Whatever burdens you’re carrying now,
Let them down for a moment if you can.
So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don’t pick it up again until after you’ve rested a while.”
Put down then dearest Extended Family, whatever pains and hurts you, or you cannot deal with immediately. Rest, allow time to pass and revisit - it will help ~
My love to all in great abundance …
